A Personal Battle Turned Mission
Our Mission & ImpactIn 2020, at just 25 years old, Brad Franzen was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer after experiencing severe abdominal pain. What he thought was a minor issue turned into the fight of his life. Given only a year to live, Brad underwent aggressive chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and a complex surgical procedure called cytoreductive surgery with HIPEC. Against all odds, after months of grueling treatment, Brad was declared No Evidence of Disease (NED).
With his battle won Brad refused to stop fighting. He and his family established the Franzen Colon Cancer Research Fund to ensure more patients have access to earlier detection, better treatments, and, ultimately, a cure.

Colon cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the U.S., yet with increased research and funding, lives can be saved. Brad is proof that hope exists—but only if we continue the fight.
Our Mission & Impact
Through charity events, fundraisers, and community outreach, the Franzen Colon Cancer Research Fund raises money to support cutting-edge research and patient support programs. Every dollar goes directly toward institutions dedicated to advancing treatments and finding a cure for colon cancer.
